Our Own Little Guy Gets into the Spirit.
Over the Memorial Day weekend, we attended Burning Flipside. What is Burning Flipside you may ask? Check out their website here. Basically, it's a 4 day arts, culture, and entertainment extravaganza loosely based on the Burning Man Festival in Nevada, but in the forests outside of Austin.
Think of a sort of Ravers/90's Hippies Woodstock on a much smaller scale. Live band, DJ's, theme camps, fire twirlers, art installations all in a gorgeous area with a swimming pool and stream. Hugh in particular loved the costume theme camp, the "mood swings", and the giant chimes. Unfortunately, this year, 4 days was a bit too much camping for us and we left early, but I think that next year might be a bit different.
